One thing that my whole family loves is a classic peanut butter and jelly. Not really any peanut butter and jelly it has to be made with Smuckers and Jif. Smuckers made a wide variety of fruit spreads, we have a whole shelf on the side of our fridge filled with different Smuckers jellies and jams.
Anything thing my family loves is breakfast for dinner. Something in the morning we are busy and don’t have time to make a big breakfast so we will have it dinner. Last night we decided to combine the peanut butter and jelly with breakfast and make Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast. It turned out fantastic!!
Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast is pretty simple to make. You start by making a traditional PB&J. Last night we used Smuckers Blueberry Preserve because it reminds me of a reduced fruit compote that you would put on french toast.
You can see in the photo above all the little blueberries and the thicker consistency in the Smuckers Blueberry Preserve. We also used Jif Creamy Peanut Butter with is my all time favorite.
After your classic PB&J is made then you just dip each side into your french toast batter. I always add vanilla, cinnamon and a splash of french vanilla coffee cream to my egg mixture. It gives it a wonderful flavor.
Cook it just like you would normal french toast, about 8 minutes on each side. I let it cool for about 2 minutes before cutting into it. This the perfect breakfast PB&J. Quick, easy and everyone is sure to love them.
This back-to-school season, Smucker’s is celebrating PB & J moments that really matter – the First Day of School PB & J, the rainy day PB & J, the weekend PB & J. But it’s not just any PB & J. It’s the best PB & J made with simple, quality ingredients. It’s a Smucker’s PB & J. It’s #MyPBJMoment
