I like to put the Elf on the Shelf on my son bookbag so he knows Santa Claus is watching so he does his homework without arguing

I like to hide him in the Christmas tree and the first one that spots him and comments gets a little gift. Even company that comes over. Usually its a surprise ornament or something small like that.

Last year we had our elf zip line from the stair banister to the bridge at the top of the stairs. He was using Christmas ribbon as a zip line. My husband used to skydive so he made a small parachute & put our elf up on the fan on the 20 foot high ceiling of our great room as if he “crashed” there on his way back from the North Pole & got stuck.
