Today I was whisked away to the Punta Cana just before a snow storm hit. Luckily I had a 6am flight if not I would have never made it to the beautiful Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana.
I was greeted with a fresh tropical juice in a cute champagne class when I arrived at the all-inclusive Barcelo resort to the premium club to get checked in. Check in took about 15 minutes before I was taken to my ultra modern room with an AMAZING ocean front room. Not only can I see the turquoise ocean, but I was in front of the adult pool also. The location couldn’t have been better.
As you can imagine the first thing I did when I arrived and jumped into my bathing suit and ran to the beach. Sand in my toes and the sun beating down on my face was how I spent the new few hours. Meanwhile, at home my family was getting 12 inches of snow and Kadne ended up getting 2 day off school from the snow storm. I was so thankful to be in Dominican Republic.
After a few hours by the beach I decided to test out the hot tub I had on my balcony. If you have not taken a bath or shower outside add it to your bucket list now. It is so freeing.
Tonight was dinner at LaComedie a lovely french restaurant at the Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe. This ended up being my favorite dinner of the whole trip. For starters, I had a crepe filled follow by lobster bisque which is my favorite soup. I picked lamb chop for my entree and chocolate fondant for dessert. The lamb chop were some for the best lamb I have ever had. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The Chocolate Fondant was delicious.
All in all I had an amazing day. I am at the Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe Resort to celebrate Carnaval on Friday. Luckily we got to come down a few days early to check out the resort and lay on the beach.
